1986  Land Rover 110 Defender ‘Spectre’ Evocation – 5.7 V8

This Land Rover 110 has been completely rebuilt from the chassis up into an incredible Defender ‘Spectre’ evocation with a raft of custom touches by marque specialist Landroid Motors.

It is now powered by a 5.7-litre General Motors LS6 V8 noted to produce over 400hp, which is sent to all four wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission.

This example has been with its current and sixth owner since June 2021.

Conversion carried out in 2019, and it was fitted with a 4.6-litre Rover V8. In February 2022, the Rover V8 was replaced with an LS6 V8.

The original conversion was performed with 52,800 miles on the odometer.

EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES ,

Repainted in Santorini Black, this 110 Double Cab is now equipped with a Safety Devices roof rack, high-mounted LED lightbar, a new front bumper with a Winchmax winch with two wireless control units and a kill switch, side protection runners, and black chequer plate steel around the lower body.

The headlights have a modern conversion upgrade, the rear lights are all LEDs, and the wheel arches are extended to cover the huge 35-inch tyres and Spectre 16-inch wheels.

The suspension has been upgraded, to include Old Man Emu shock absorbers, an uprated polybush kit, and uprated radius and trailing arms.

While the genuine ‘Spectre’ cars used on set feature only basic equipment as needed for filming, this evocation has been equipped with a luxurious tan leather interior.

It features hexagonal quilted stitching and ‘L’ Landroid monograms in the headrests, bespoke badging, a handsome Alcantara headlining, a grained centre console fascia as well as tan leather which extends across the entire dashboard.

Interior equipment includes a digital level display and compass, electric front windows, a large Sony touchscreen media unit with Bluetooth, DAB digital radio and smartphone connectivity, inward-facing rear seats, a Momo steering wheel, a rear parking camera heated front seats, upgraded air-conditioning, and two USB charging ports.

Exterior touches include an external roll cage, a canvas soft-top, a high-mounted LED light bar, Winchmax winch, LED lights, side protection runners, suspension lift, extended wheel arches with front arch ‘winglets’, and a stainless-sports exhaust system.

In February 2022, the car was sent back to Landroid for a 5.7-litre GM LS6 engine conversion at a cost of £40,000, during which the brakes and air conditioning were also upgraded along with fitment of four seats and retractable seat belts in the rear of the truck, and a removeable canvas soft-top was also fitted to the rear.

The vehicle will be accompanied by a selection of invoices for its bodywork and engine conversions, two sets of keys with remote locking fobs, and a battery trickle charger.
